Explore Vietnam’s historic northern provinces on a seven-day tour to Hanoi, Halong Bay, Sapa, Hoang Lien Son Mountain, Y Linh Ho and more. Behold remarkable centuries-old sites, sample delicious Vietnamese cuisine made by the locals, kayak through treasured stretches of water, fish for exotic squid, and learn about Vietnam from an English-speaking tour guide.
Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi arrival
- Arrival at Hanoi, check-in at hotel and welcome drink
- Overnight stay in Hanoi
Day 2: Hanoi–Halong Cruise (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
- 7:45am-8:15am: Departure from Hanoi to Halong Bay
- 12:30am: Welcome on board
- 1:30pm-2:30pm: Lunch on board among limestone islands
- 2:30pm-3:30pm: Explore Sung Sot Cave considered the most beautiful cave in Halong Bay
- 3:30pm-4:30pm: Kayaking around Drum Cave area
- 4:30pm-5:30pm: Return to the boat and continue cruising
- 5:30pm-7pm: Sunset Party on sundeck
- 7pm: Dinner followed by socialising, board games, fishing for squid, or leisure time, as preferred
- Overnight stay on board in Halong
Day 3: Cruise–Halong–Hanoi (breakfast, lunch)
- 6:30am-7:30am: Tai-chi session or photo hunt
- 7:30am-8:30am: Breakfast and leisure time
- 8:30am-9:30am: Cruise to Titov Island; swimming and relaxing on the beach or climbing to the top of the island for a panorama view of Halong Bay
- 9:30am: Return to the boat to freshen up and check out
- 9:30-10:30am: Continue the cruise exploring the bay, passing Ba Hang fishing village, Dog Islet, and more
- 10:30am-11:30am: Fruit carving demonstration, cooking class and traditional Vietnamese lunch
- 13:30pm-1pm: Transfer back to Hanoi
- 4pm: Re-check in at the hotel
- Overnight stay in Hanoi
Day 4: Hanoi-Sapa–Laochai–Tavan–Giang Ta Chai (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
- 6:30am: Pick-up from meeting point and and transfer to LaoCai
- Midday: Arrival in Sapa, lunch at a local restaurant
- 1pm: Visit to Lao Chai, Ta Van and Giang Ta Chai, explore the life of ethnic groupos, admire spectacular natural sceneries and rice fields; visit Sapa ancient rock with engraved images, admire the Cloud Bridge and Muong Hoa stream, then return to Sapa
- Overnight stay in Sapa
Day 5: Cat Cat Village–Hanoi (breakfast, lunch)
- 10am: Exploring Cat Cat – Shin Chai village of H’mong ethnic group, visit to hydropower station and learn about the culture, customs and traditional crafts
- Midday: Pick-up from Cat Cat village and transfer to Sapa town followed by a meal at a local restaurant; free time for sightseeing or souvenir shopping
- 4pm: Transfer back to Hanoi. re-check in at hotel in Hanoi, tour finishes around 9:30-9:45pm
- Overnigh stay in Hanoi
Day 6: Hanoi (breakfast)
- Leisure time, explore Hanoi, go shopping or spend time as preferred
- Overnight stay in Hanoi
Day 7: Hanoi–home (breakfast)
