The Deal
Bonsai enthusiasts can gain a basic understanding of the art of Bonsai during this three-hour course, taking place from 11am to 2pm under the expert tuition of Rob Macnair. The interactive session explores the origin of Bonsai, and discusses watering, pest control, pruning, wiring, potting, styling and general horticulture. Participants will plant their own Bonsai, learning how to select the right pot, tree and soil in the process, which they can take home.

The Merchant
Bonsai Middle East was started by Rob Macnair in 2006, after he moved to Dubai and found that there was nowhere for him to indulge his passion of Bonsai trees. Today, the shop supplies all the equipment necessary to grow and care for the miniature trees, and the website offers information on the history of the art of Bonsai, as well as tips and advice on caring for them.
