Day 1: 30 Nov 2017

Arrive at Dubai airport min. 3 hours before departure at 3:30am. Spend the rest of the night on board with in-flight meals included. Arrive in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, at 12.15pm. Meet and greet on arrival, followed by transfer to the hotel on an air-conditioned coach. Check-in at the hotel and leisure time for travellers to explore the city on foot and discover authentic local food.

Day 2: 1 Dec 2017

Start the day with an 8am visit to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, an important place in the Vietnamese history. Take a short walk to One Pillar Buddhist Pagoda built in 1049, then visit Van Mieu, a Temple of Literature dedicated to Confucius and his four best disciples. See the first national university of Vietnam built within the temple in 1076 in order to educate Vietnamese bureaucrats, nobles, royalty and other members of the elite. Afterwards, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant (at an extra charge). Later in the day, visit Ethnology Museum for an insight into 54 ethnic groups living in Vietnam. Discover simple agriculture stools, fishing equipment, hand-weaved cloths, crafts, festivals, folk art, traditional houses and activities of each tribe. End the day at the History Museum and admire exhibits from the stone age, bronze age and prehistoric era, the heritage of ancient Vietnamese people of Hanoi, as well as modern artefacts.

Day 3: 2 Dec 2017

Day at leisure for tourists to explore the country on their own or choose one of the optional tours available at an additional cost, such as the Halong Bay tour:

A guide will escort the group to Halong Bay (listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1994). After arrival in Ha Long, board a private boat for a four-hour journey with seafood lunch served on board. Cruise through emerald waters and enjoy views over the magnificent landscape and limestone outcrops. Visit Dau Go Cave, ‘the wooden stakes cave’, and enjoy a short walk to the newly discovered Thien Cung Cave, famous for its stalagmites and stalactites. Admire tortoises, islands and picturesque views on the way back to Hanoi.
