The Experience

On this four-night tour, holidaymakers explore the city of Istanbul, a meeting point of cultures and civilisations, surrounded by warm blue sea peppered with distant islands. Travellers have a chance to discover the famous Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and The Hippodrome of Constantinople and taste some local specialities. The tour also includes a visit to Buyukada Island and the Bosphorus cruise. Guests are accommodated at Grand Yavuz Hotel offering four-star amenities. 

The Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival

• Arrive at the airport and be welcomed by the local travel representative, then head to the hotel for an overnight stay

Day 2: Full-Day Old City Tour

• Early in the morning (9am) embark on a full day tour of Istanbul’s Old City
• Visit Topkapi Palace dating back to the 15th century, a huge museum which was once a residential palace of Ottoman Empire
• Enjoy lunch at the local restaurant
• Discover Hagia Sophia, one of the oldest and the most stunning buildings in Istanbul now being a museum; visit Blue Mosque, the only imperial mosque with six minarets, built on the site of the Great Palace of Byzantium and adorned with thousands of hand-painted blue tiles; later that day explore The Hippodrome of Constantinople, a chariot-racing track that used to be the sporting and social centre of the city
• In the afternoon enjoy some time for shopping at the Grand Bazaar
• Return to the hotel at about 5pm 

Day 3: Bosphorus Dinner Cruise

• After breakfast, enjoy time at leisure
• In the evening (at about 8pm) be picked-up from the hotel and proceed for Bosphorus dinner cruise; cruise between two continents and enjoy evening views of Istanbul’s palaces, mosques, fortresses, and pavilions; while on the boat enjoy a dinner and watch the cultural show of folk and belly dance dancers (bottomless local drinks, dinner and show included)
• Be driven back to the hotel for an overnight stay

Day 4: Full-Day Princes’ Islands Tour

• Be picked-up from the hotel at 9.30am and head towards Princes’ Islands, catch a ferry ride to Buyukada and discover its lush vegetation and ornate Ottoman houses; then get a horse-drawn carriage for a short tour of the island, have lunch at the fish restaurant and enjoy a walk by the sea; then cruise back to Istanbul; after the tour return to the hotel for an overnight stay at about 5.30pm

Day 5: End of the tour

Cancellation Policy: No modification or cancellation allowed after booking confirmation. Bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable to another destination once confirmed. Transportation details: Valid for direct return flights from Sharjah to Istanbul. Travel documents to be received up to 1 day before departure. You must go with your boarding pass printed to the airport, at the risk of having to pay additional charges. Depending on flight schedules and transfers, the first or the last night might not be entirely spent in the hotel. Luggage allowance: 7kg hand luggage and 20kg check-in luggage.
