ITINERARY:

Day 01: Arrival in Tbilisi international airport. Meeting with company representative at the airport waiting hall. Transfer to Tbilisi hotel. Check in and overnight.

Day 02: Breakfast at the hotel. Meeting guide at the hotel reception. Excursion in the city. Visiting following sights: Tbilisi Sameba Cathedral, the largest cathedral in the Caucasus, Metekhi Church is erected on the cliff, overlooking the Mtkvari River. Thec olorful Darejani Palace is also situated on the cliff, like the nest of a swallow. The Sulfur Baths are located in Old Tbilisi, on the other side of the river, opposite Darejani Palace. Narikala fortress, established in the fourth century. Then continue tour by visiting Shardeni street with its fashionable, cozy cafes and art galleries. Visit famous Bridge of Peace. Visit Rustaveli Avenue, main street of the city, passing along the attractions, such as Tbilisi Opera and Ballet theatre, Rustaveli Theatre, different art galleries and cafes. Also visit Aghmashenebeli Avenue, newly renovated with different shops. Transfer and overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 03: Breakfast at the hotel. Then drive to Mtskheta (UNESCO World Heritage Site), the ancient capital of Georgia – early kingdom of Iberia. Inhabited since before 1000 BC it was religious centre of Georgia, where St. Nino converted the country to Christianity in around 337 AD. Mtskheta is located at the crossing of two rivers and the ancient trade routes. Tour includes following sights: Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (a life-giving pillar) of 11th century. Magnificent, both inside and outside, the Cathedral is an important piece of Christian history, as it is a place where Christ’s robe was buried. Jvari Church – 6th century monastery. Jvari, or the Holy Cross Church, stands on a hill overlooking the confluence of the Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers. Then drive back to Tbilisi. Transfer and overnight at the hotel in Tbilisi.

Day 04: Transfer from the hotel to Tbilisi airport. Departure.
