The joys of the open road await drivers who can take to the wheel of a fully-insured Toyota Corolla or Hyundai Elantra. Cars can be driven for up to 250km a day, enabling users to run errands, reach a number of nearby sights and attractions, or even drive over to Abu Dhabi. For ease, cars can be delivered or picked-up from a choice of Dubai location for an AED 49 surcharge, or from locations around Sharjah for AED 99.

Asfar provides car rentals to Emirates residents, giving them the freedom to travel wherever they choose. A number of 2014/2015 car models are available to rent, while delivery and pick-up can be arranged from airports and locations across Sharjah and Dubai.

Prior cancellation at least 24 hours in advance. For Dubai locations: Delivery Charges: AED 49, and Pick-up Charges: AED 4. For Sharjah, Sharjah Airport and Maktoum Jebel Ali Airport locations: Delivery Charges: AED 99, and Pick-up Charges: AED 99. For other Emirates locations: Delivery Charges: AED 299, and Pick-up Charges: AED 299. Daily allowed kilometers-250 km/day. Extra kms will be charged at the rate of 0.50 fils/kilometer. AED 5 will be charged for each Salik usage. Petrol is not included. A refuelling surcharge of 20% will be applicable if the vehicle is not returned with a full tank. An administrative charge of AED 39 per fine will be applied and will have to be paid upon invoice submission. Vehicle is comprehensively insured (police report is mandatory in case of any accidents). Driver must be at least 21 years old and possess a UAE driving license which has been valid for at least 1 year. Security deposit can either be a cash amount of AED 1500, a Pre-Authorised credit card of AED 1500, or a security cheque of AED 2500. Rental period is to be strictly adhered to. Additional charges will be applicable once the rental period is over. For drivers less than 25 years old, any accident or damages are required to comply with Police Report and Insurance will be made up to AED 1500 + 10% of the total loss.
